Enabling Public Broadcasts for Teachers
Public Broadcasts allow SchoolStatus Admins and Staff to create announcements with a publicly shareable link. This enables student contacts to view important information without logging into Connect and to easily share the link with other family members or guardians.
Key use cases include:
- Posting announcements on social media platforms
- Communicating at the start of the school year before guardians have logged into Connect
- Sharing any content you want families to be able to forward to others
Here are the steps for the School Admin to enable teachers to send Public Broadcasts:
(1) Click on the Context Selector drop-down and select the right School
(2) Click the 3 black dots on your School header
(3) Click Settings
(4) Under Classroom Communications, check the box beside Allow teachers to send Public Broadcasts
(5) Click Update School
