The To Line feature is an addition to the Announcement feature of SchoolStatus Connect. District and School staff can now edit the intended recipients of Announcements while creating one. Please take a look at the instructions below on how to use the To Line field.
Start creating an Announcement.Click the Select Recipients field to add your audience. A real-time recipients counter will update automatically as you make selections.
💡 Quick tip: A dash (–) means the segment was not selected. A zero (0) means it was selected but has no recipients. This helps you quickly confirm whether a group was intentionally excluded or has no one to notify.
Choose your recipients from the Schools, Classrooms, Staff, or Upload CSV tabs.
You can select multiple classrooms from only one School when choosing this option. If you need to send the same Announcement to multiple but not all classrooms from multiple schools, you need to reuse and republish the Announcement for each School.
You can also use the Filters option as parameters.
Your access to staff recipients depends on your role.
School staff can select from colleagues at their assigned school(s) and anyone in the District Directory, while district staff can reach all staff listed across the district and its schools.
Filters can help you quickly narrow your search or selection.
This level lets you select families from the Directory level that you have access to. Upload a list of families to receive the Announcement. Access the sample file by clicking the link from the uploader.
You can also open the Directory from the left-hand menu and choose specific recipients. Use the Actions menu and select Announce.
Please note that the list of available recipients will depend on the level of access you have at your School and District. If you do not have access to all the Classrooms from your school, you will see fewer classrooms when using this feature.
The To Line feature is also accessible when you are reusing an Announcement or when you are using a Template. Editing an already published Announcement, however, will keep its original recipient.
