❓ FAQ
Q: Who should use this?
A: District administrators managing end-of-year rollover or cleanup of outdated district and school-wide announcements.
Q: Can school admins archive announcements?
A: No. Only district-level admins can perform archive actions.
Q: Are archived announcements deleted?
A: No. They are removed from live feeds but remain available in the Announcement Hub and Connect Reports.
Q: Can archived announcements be restored?
A: Yes. Archived announcements remain accessible in the Hub with restore options.
Q: What happens when you archive a scheduled Announcement?
A: Archiving a scheduled Announcement stores it away, even if it has a future send_at date. If you unarchive an Announcement after the scheduled send date, the Announcement will be sent immediately.
Q: What happens if I don’t archive Announcements?
A: If Announcements are not archived, they will remain visible in Announcement feeds throughout the platform. This means that users who are newly added to your school or district may also be able to view older Announcements that are no longer relevant.
Archiving Announcements helps keep feeds organized, reduces clutter, and ensures that users see current and relevant communications. It is recommended as part of your end-of-year rollover process to provide a cleaner experience for staff, students, and families in the new school year.
Q: What do the numbers in parentheses in the Rollover Management > Archive Announcements tab represent?
A: The numbers shown in parentheses indicate the total number of Announcements sent at the selected level. For example:
- District and school-wide (9) includes all announcements sent at both the district and school levels.
- District-wide (4) includes all announcements sent at the district level.
- School-wide (5) includes all announcements sent at the school level.
Note: The counts shown are cumulative totals for the selected scope (District, school, or both) and include all Announcements sent at that level, regardless of Announcement type, audience, or whether the announcement was staff-only.
