As a teacher, you can archive your own classrooms when they're no longer active. Archiving moves classrooms to a closed state, preserving all content while removing them from active view. This article will demonstrate two methods for accomplishing this.
Method 1
-
From your class header, click the ellipses (⋯) menu and select Settings.
-
Click Graduate in the settings panel. (Note: "Graduate" is the action that archives your classroom.)
-
Add a farewell message for parents if desired, then click Graduate again to proceed.
-
Enter your registered email or mobile phone number, then click Confirm to finalize.
Method 2
-
Click on your avatar and click the settings icon (⚙️)
-
On the next page, go to the Schools & Classrooms.
-
Locate your classroom, click on the three-dot menu, and select Archive Class.
-
Once archived, this classroom will be removed under your school's tab.
What Happens Next
A confirmation window will appear showing that archiving is in progress. For multiple classrooms, this may take several minutes. Refresh your page to see updated results and find archived classrooms in your "Closed" tab.
Important Notes
- Parents will receive your custom message if you include one.
- All classroom content remains accessible to admins and can be reactivated if needed.
-
Classrooms can be unarchived from the same settings page.
