How parents/guardians can add or delete a co-parent.
School Teachers sometimes only have one parent’s contact information when they create a class in SchoolStatus Connect. In these cases, unless a co-parent is added, notifications will only be sent to one parent/guardian.
To remedy this, you can add a co-parent or guardian so they also receive notifications.
Note: The Add a Co-parent feature is only available for districts that allow it and do not sync guardian data.
Adding a Co-Parent/Guardian
- Click the dropdown button in the upper-right corner of your screen.

Click the gear icon.

Click "My Students & Contacts" under "My Relationships"
- Click your child's name

Click the 'add people' icon to the right for "Guardians."
- Type the email address of the co-parent or invite them via SMS by clicking the drop-down menu below. You can also set the Language the co-parent would prefer to use.

Click "Add"
- The co-parent will receive an email or SMS to join the class. Here’s a sample of what they’ll receive:
Removing a Co-Parent/Guardian
If the co-parent hasn’t created an account yet, you can delete the co-parent's account by clicking on the “Delete” button.

On the "My Students & Contacts" page

Click on the Student's name, and then click "Edit" in the Student Profile

To delete a guardian, click on the red icon next to the guardian and Save.

Afterwards, there'll be a prompt that'll ask you to "Confirm" the action, which you'll need to click.
- A confirmation message will pop up at the top of the page.
NOTE:
If the co-parent has already created an account, you will not be able to remove him/her from the list. If there’s still a need to remove the co-parent from your child’s profile, please get in touch with the teacher or send us an email at support-ct@schoolstatus.com.
