With SchoolStatus Connect, you can track insights into your email/SMS delivery status, engagement metrics, and call delivery performance. This article will explain how you can track your Announcement Delivery Data.
In the bottom-right corner of any Announcement, you will see a button labeled Delivery Data.
Depending on the type of Announcement, you will see the following 3 tabs:
Delivered
Engaged
Called
The “Delivered” Tab
-
Overview - Displays the delivery status of your Announcement (Filter data by selecting the Skipped, Delivered, or Failed tab.)
- Search Bar - Use this bar to search and check the status of a specific user
- User List - A list of all guardians or credentials who were sent the Announcement (The student associated can be seen in grey on the right)
- Status - Delivery status of the sent Announcement
Click the arrow to see the guardians' or communication credentials of students who received the Announcement and their respective delivery status.
Delivered Statuses Explained:
Sending: The system is still sending the Announcement to the receiver.
Delivered: The Announcement has been delivered.
Failed: The Announcement could not be delivered to the recipient.
Skipped: The user’s credentials are not viable, or the user's preferences are set to not receive notifications to this specific form of communication at the time of sending.
For example, Users who have toggled the Communications preference for 'Announcements and Child Stories' or who have selected 'None' under the Notification method in Communication Preferences.
Note: These users will still receive the announcement and see it on their Feed.
If a new user or another communication credential for an existing contact is added to the directory group after the Announcement is sent, their status will appear as Skipped, but they will still see the announcement in their feed.
Note: If you have both email and SMS contact details, the default notification method is determined by each district’s settings.
If notifications are not successfully sent to the preferred channel, the system will use the alternative method. For example, if the user's email inbox is full and the notifications are not delivered successfully, the system will send the notifications to SMS. Once the issue behind the failed emails is resolved, and the user’s email status is reset either by the user or by Connect support, the system will revert to sending communications via the preferred channel - email.
Pro Tip: Reach out to guardians with a regular 'Skipped' status in order to check that their credentials are accurate and recommend Preferences if they are missing important updates.

Called Statuses Explained:
Completed: Number of users who have completed (received) a voice broadcast.
Note: If the call went to voicemail, the report will say completed since it's not different from the case when the user actually picked up the phone
No answer: Number of users who have a failed, no answer, or busy status.
Note: The data will include users added to the audience list after the Announcement was created.
Note: The data can be exported by clicking the download button on the upper right.
Note: We can't track the open rates of SMS messages. Some SMS statuses may show "Delivered", despite the recipient having viewed them.
