You can update District, School, and Class Settings from the header of the Home page or from the Schools or Classroom tab.
To access the Settings page, please follow the steps below:
- From the home page, click on Filter
- Select the context. It can be the Classroom, School, or District.
- Click the right arrow button next to the context name entry
- Click the three dots on the right corner of the header/cover photo
- Click on Settings
You can also quickly access the District Settings page by:
- Go to the Schools tab
- Click on the three-dot menu next to your district
- Open the Settings page
These adjustments were done to optimize the user experience and facilitate seamless navigation.
District Settings:
- Allow teachers to assign students to manual classrooms
- Allow teachers to merge their SIS classrooms
- Allow users to send Profile Update Requests
- Allow staff to create events
- Allow staff to create PTCs
- Allow staff to create volunteer requests
- Enable Google Features
- Allow users to upload files to the Library and the Backpack
- Allow users to access support chat
- Allow Admins to download CSV reports
District Sync Permissions:
- Enable daily sync
- Unarchive classrooms that reappear in the roster data
- Allow the sync to update the contact details of active users
- Allow the sync to update the user’s language to the value in roster data
School Level Permissions
- Teachers can create Announcements for: All Classrooms, Associated Grades, Their Classrooms
- Parents can initiate conversations: with any other parent in school, with no other parents, or let teachers set up in their classrooms
- Invitations: Allow guardians to add co-guardians
Classroom Level Communications
- Allow teachers to send Priority Announcements
- Allow teachers to send Voice Broadcasts
- Allow teachers to send announcements to Students
- Allow teachers to send Public Broadcasts
- Hide classroom directories from guardians
Staff Level Permissions
- Allow teachers to manage co-teachers, guardians, and create new classrooms
- Allow teachers to assign students to manual classrooms
- Allow teachers to merge their SIS classrooms
Classroom Level Permissions
- Allow parents to create activities and announcements
- Allow parents to upload photos and files
- Allow parents to start a conversation with other parents
- Show the classroom directory to parents
