Whether you're a teacher, school staff member, or parent, we understand that you can't always respond to messages immediately. This article will walk you through setting up "office hours." Messages received outside these hours will not trigger notifications, but senders will see that you're currently unavailable to respond.

Notifications will be off during office hours for Conversation Messages and 1:1 Phone calls (if enabled).
💡Other communications, such as announcements, emails, or SMS messages, will continue to notify you regardless of your office hours.
- Senders will see that you can't respond immediately. They'll see this indication in two places:

At the top of the conversation window, you will see an away banner.

When you click a user's name, a side panel will appear showing all conversation members. A snooze icon (💤) will appear next to anyone's name if you're messaging them outside their office hours.

To set your Office Hours:
💡 The steps to set up your office hours are the same for School Staff, Teachers, and Parents/Guardians.
1. Click the drop-down arrow on the top right,
2. Click the gear icon
4. Toggle the Office Hours button
5. Set the Days and the Time
6. Click the Trash icon to delete any Office Hours you do not need.
7. Click Confirm
8. Click Save
