After you post an Activity on SchoolStatus Connect, the parents don’t receive any email or SMS yet, but it is posted on their Activities tab.
To alert the parents right away and trigger the system to send the notifications, you need to announce the activity. You can do this straight after creating the Event or Activity or at a later stage via your Activities Page.
While creating the Event or Activity
1. Click Announce after creating the Event/Activity

2. Click the 3 black dots
3. Click Announce
