About This Course
As a teacher, family communication can often seem like just one more thing to do. With SchoolStatus Connect, we aim to provide you with the tools to simplify your tasks and make everything available to you in one convenient location. This 30-minute course will walk you through SchoolStatus Connect and how you, as a teacher, can best engage your students' families and strengthen those partnerships that lead to greater student success. 🚀

Introduction to SchoolStatus Connect (~ 1 minute)
Lesson 1: Logging into Connect (~ 2 minutes)
Lesson 2: Navigating the Platform (~ 2 minutes)
Learn about the variety of tools available to you, from viewing your directory to creating communications for your audiences. You'll be delighted by the user-friendliness of SchoolStatus Connect.
Lesson 3: Classroom Settings (~ 1 minutes)
As a teacher, you can customize your Connect classrooms' theme, photos, and quick links. You can also manage settings for how parents can interact with your classroom.
Lesson 4: Classroom Directory (~ 1 minutes)
Your Classroom Directory is a list of all of your students and their guardians. By visiting the directory, you can call or text guardians, visit the students' backpacks, and see engagement logs.
Lesson 5: Sending Announcements (~ 3 minutes)
Announcements are an easy way to send one communication out to your entire class, classes, or only select families.
Lesson 6: Creating Newsletters (~ 2 minutes)
Want to create something a little more delightful? Newsletters powered by Smore is a great way to send eye-catching communications to your select audiences.
Lesson 7: Managing Events (~ 2 minutes)
Create events and ask for volunteers! SchoolStatus has what you need to keep families in the know about all that is happening in your classroom!
Lesson 8: 2-way Conversations (~ 2 minutes)
Two-way Conversations are your key to more personalized 1:1 or Group messages. This is where the magic happens!
Lesson 9: 1:1 Phone Calls (~ 2 minutes)
Sometimes you just have to make the phone call! No worries, though. SchoolStatus Connect has taken care of that for you. This feature may not automatically be enabled for your account. Please have your admin reach out to their Customer Success Manager to have this feature enabled.
Lesson 10: Your Personal Settings (~ 1 minute)
SchoolStatus Connect allows you to choose how you want to receive notifications. You can update your personal account settings at any time.
