It's time to begin preparing your account for the new school year and developing a plan to get your staff and families ready to go!
The following information and instructions are intended for school and/or district leaders who are responsible for the year-over-year data management and launch of SchoolStatus Connect.
This Guide is Divided into Four Sections:
📂 Adding New Data
When you are ready to begin adding new data for the new school year...
You may choose to sync your data or manually upload files. Remember that if you are currently syncing, your data will automatically roll over. The information below is for customers who will manually upload data or would like to start a new data sync.
Step 1: Manually Add New Staff
New teachers and staff joining your school? Add new staff to your account and assign the proper role and custom permissions.
Step 2: Manually Add Students & Guardian Contacts
Use the specifically formatted file to upload or copy/paste student and guardian contact information into your school directory. If you discover any duplicate students being created, you can easily merge them into one.
💡New contacts do NOT receive any automated messages when added.
Step 3: Manually Create New Classrooms
Use the specifically formatted file to upload or copy/paste classroom names and teachers to create new classrooms in bulk.
Step 4: Manually Assign Students to Classrooms
Use the "Assign Students" feature within the Directory or Classrooms page to assign students to classrooms.
Alternative Options:
- Manually Import OneRoster Files -> Would you prefer to upload OneRoster formatted files from your SIS? You can do so from the SIS Uploader page within your Connect portal.
- Sync Your Data -> Connect customers have the option to set up automated data syncs via Clever, ClassLink, or OneRoster. Click here to learn more about this process.
