This is the fourth step of syncing OneRoster with SchoolStatus Connect. If you intend to see the high-level view of how to start syncing with OneRoster, please click here.
If you are done with the first three steps, please proceed.
Before launching the sync, please decide how you want to treat the existing classrooms on SchoolStatus Connect. The options are:
- Archive all Active Classrooms
- Leave active Classrooms as is
- Sync with the Existing Classrooms
Archive all Active Classrooms
If you choose this option, the sync will create a new classroom on SchoolStatus Connect for each section you’ve shared from OneRoster.
To archive classrooms, please follow the steps below.
1. Open the Classrooms page in your district
2. Click the box to select all classrooms
3. Click Actions
4. Click Archive All Classrooms and confirm
Leave Active Classrooms as is
If you choose this option, the sync will create additional classrooms. This may lead to duplicates.
Sync with the existing Classrooms
If you choose this option, the sync will take over control of existing classrooms.
To designate the classroom you want the sync to manage, please add an external source to it.
To add an external source, please follow the steps below.
1. Go to the School Page.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Click SIS Rostering.
4. Click Classroom Connections to SIS.
5. Click Add and enter the class' sourcedId before clicking Save.
Note: Make sure that Classroom IDs on SchoolStatus Connect and in your files match, especially if they start with zero.
Repeat the steps above in every school and for each class that you want to match with a section.
