This is the fifth step of syncing SchoolStatus Connect with Clever. To see the high-level sync setup guide, please click here.If you've completed the previous four steps, please proceed.
District ID and OAuth Token
To update SchoolStatus Connect sync settings, you need to know District ID and District OAuth Token. If you don't have them yet, please let us know at connectsupport@schoolstatus.com, and we will provide them for you.
Sync Settings
To adjust the settings, please follow the steps below.
1. Go to the District page
2. Go to Settings
Please see this article to learn how to access District or School settings.
3. Click SIS Rostering
4. Click District-Level Daily Sync
Now, adjust the following to how you want the sync to happen.
- Student ID
- Manage Guardians
- Unarchive Classrooms
- Update the contact details of active users
- Contact Types and Relationships
Student ID
Choose what ID the students should have on SchoolStatus Connect - STUDENT ID or STUDENT NUMBER. You can always change this setting.
Allow the Clever sync to manage guardians
If you want SchoolStatus Connect to sync guardians from Clever, make sure this setting is ON.
If you want SchoolStatus Connect to pull the guardian information from other sources (e.g. you plan to use the guardians.csv file), please leave this option OFF and review the automated SFTP sync for guardians setup guide linked at the bottom of this page.
Unarchive classrooms that re-appear in the roster data
This setting makes sure that the classrooms you share from Clever are always active on SchoolStatus Connect. If a teacher archives a Classroom on SchoolStatus Connect and it remains active on Clever, turning this setting on will unarchive the Classroom on SchoolStatus Connect when the daily sync completes.
Allow the sync to update the contact details of active users
If your Clever data is the most up-to-date source of user contact details, you may choose to enable this option. Please read this article to learn more about the setting.
Contact Types & Relationships to Sync
Choose all relationships and types of contacts that you want to add to SchoolStatus Connect from Clever.
The sync will only manage guardians who have ANY of the specified Types AND have ANY of the specified Relationships.
Example: With the setup from the image below, the sync will add people whose Type is either Parent/Guardian or Primary AND whose Relationship is either Parent or Other. Meaning, that there are four types of users added to SchoolStatus Connect:
- Type:Parent/Guardian AND Relationship:Parent
- Type:Parent/Guardian AND Relationship:Other
- Type:Primary AND Relationship:Parent
- Type:Primary AND Relationship:Other
Save settings
Save settings now. Do not enable the sync yet.
