Review the Basics
It’s never a bad idea to reacquaint yourself with the basics - your personal settings, school settings, Announcement templates, linking your guardian account, or best practices for sending your initial message for the school year out to families! -
Stop & Archive Conversations
As a best practice, Stop Conversations that have concluded to prevent participants from adding new replies to outdated discussions, then archive them to keep your inbox organized. Stopping a Conversation closes the thread to new messages, while archiving simply removes it from your inbox and can be undone at any time. -
Archive Manual Classrooms
If you had manual classrooms you were using in the previous school year that are no longer relevant, be sure to archive those classrooms! This article explains how to archive manual classrooms.-

Manage the School Year Rollover
- Clean up your home feed by Archiving Announcements.
- Consider utilizing the Rollover Management Tool, which allows you to temporarily restrict logins for different roles as you finalize schedules.
- Ask campuses to archive manual classrooms that are no longer relevant.
- Remember that communications reports reset for the new year on July 1, but Engagement Logs will retain the full history, and you can always reach out to our support team with any historical communications needs.

Review and Update Your Staff
- Go to Downloadable Reports in the District Settings and export your Staff Permissions file. Review staff and identify any that need to be deactivated or updated, then update accordingly!
