If you wear more than one hat on SchoolStatus Connect, such as being a staff member and guardian, or a parent to multiple children, or a guardian of students in different districts, you may end up with multiple accounts.
Linking accounts keeps your profiles and communications separate, but lets you switch between them instantly, no need to log out and back in.
When You Might Need to Link Accounts
You should link your accounts if:
- You’re a staff member + guardian, but your staff view doesn’t show your student.
- You’re a guardian with multiple children, but you only see one student in Connect. You received an invite or login for a second role and want everything combined.
In all of these cases, you’re likely using separate accounts for each role/student. Linking them connects the dots.
How to Link Accounts
- Click your avatar in the upper-right corner.

From the dropdown menu, select Link another account.
- Make sure to enter the correct email address or phone number of the account you want to link.

Click Send verification code.

Retrieve the code from your email or messages and enter it in the verification field.

Click Verify.Please note: If only one contact method is present, clicking Verify will complete the linking, and you will see a confirmation as shown in step 9.
- For added security, if the account you're linking also has a second contact method, you'll need to enter a separate verification code for that one as well.

Review the account details and click Link Accounts.

Once successfully linked, you'll see the account in the Linked Accounts section. A confirmation message will appear in the top-right corner.

The newly linked account will now display in your profile dropdown menu.
💡 Tip: Verification codes expire; complete the steps shortly after requesting them.
After Linking
Once everything is linked, you can switch roles at any time using the Account Switcher in the top-right corner of Connect (web and mobile). Easy, fast, and no extra logins.
