Communications in SchoolStatus Connect are determined by user preference. This way users can be contacted via their preferred channel.
Once users create an account in SchoolStatus Connect, they will be able to select the preferred Notification method.
- Click the Dropdown next to your Avatar
- Select the Gear icon
- Choose Communication Preferences
- Click the dropdown below Notification method
- Users have the option to set it to Email + App, SMS + App, App Only, or None
Notes:
- SMS is currently enabled for cell phone numbers in the US and Canada.
- To avoid sending and/or receiving too many notifications, users can only select either Email or SMS and not both.
- If a user selects SMS+App as their communication preference, their notifications options are limited. With SMS, a user can only enable notifications for Announcements & Child Stories, and Messages.
- The system will use the alternative method if notifications are not successfully sent to the preferred method. For example, if your email inbox is full and the notifications are not delivered successfully, the system will send the notifications to your SMS.
